Ian Whitfield is a Certified Executive Coach and communications specialist. His passion is to help people move forward in their lives both personally and professionally. He founded Whitfield Executive Development with Andrea, his partner in life and business, in 2012.
Ian spent 23 years working in the non profit sector where he held several senior leadership positions, most recently as the Director of Communications with LeaderImpact. His energetic and practical approach has helped him establish a reputation as an outstanding trainer and communicator. In 2008 he produced a training series that has impacted more than 100,000 people in 20 countries.
Training that is highly interactive and has an immediate application is what you can expect when in one of Ian's sessions. He has training on a myriad of topics, however his desire to help new leaders keeps him focused on leadership and communication as key topics. He has personally trained and coached over 100 C-Suite executives and thousands through his training sessions.
Ian is an excellent cross cultural trainer as he has worked with companies in Canada, the United States, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. Clients include LafargeHolcim, PCL construction, CARSTAR automotive, RichardsonGMP, ATB financial, Brookfield, WestJet, Canadian Tire and Continental Building Products among others.
Ian is a Certified Executive Coach (PCC and ICF certified) through RoyalRoads University and an Advanced Certified Consultant in the Birkman Method®. He received an Administrative and Commercial Studies Degree from the University of Western Ontario. Ian is also a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers.
